The Iranian Students News Agency says Foreign Ministry statistics show there are 6,000 Iranians in prisons abroad and an astounding 700 of them are on death row. No Iranians convicted in the United States are known to have received the death penalty. Many Iranians caught dealing drugs in Indonesia and Malaysia have been sentenced to death, but nothing like 700 of them. (Iran says there are 70 on death row in Malaysia.
