The US Justice Department heard rumors that the Yakuza, Japan’s mafia or organized crime syndicate, had its hands on weapons grade nuclear material and wanted to sell it to Iran. The US Justice Department got to the Yakuza before Iran with a man pretending to be an Iranian general, who demanded to test the substance being offered by the Yakuza. When it proved to be the real stuff, the US arrested two Yakuza operatives.
