Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi dismissed the latest report on human rights in Iran by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon as “invalid.” A story on the UN report appeared on page three of last week’s Iran Times. Qassemi said, “The most serious shortcoming of the report is that the text is based on an unjust, unfair and political resolution that has been prepared against Iran to exert pressure on the country and achieve certain political objectives.”
