Clothing crackdown:

the deputy commander of the police, announced last week.  Radan said, “Fighting satellite dishes, hejab violations, ruffians, public disturbers and environmental violators are the top priorities within the framework of the moral security plan for the summer months.”  With regard to the dress code, he said the police would be concentrating on three violations:  tight clothing; trench coats that do not go below the knee; and scarves that fail to cover the hair.  The last has become the norm in Tehran and it would be a major change to enforce that rule.
