A rash of cholera cases has been found in Iran. A total of 187 cases have been diagnosed, the vast majority in Sistan va Baluchestan and Kerman provinces, but including six cases in Tehran. Deputy Health Minister Ali-Akbar Sayyari blamed the outbreak on Afghan migrants. Cholera is an infection of the small intestine that causes diarrhea and vomiting and can lead to death.
