Challenging Christianity:

says a Muslim convert in Mexico has donated a 7,000-square-meter plot of land on which to build an Islamic center there. “The way is paved for the spread of Islam in the West and America,” he said in a speech. “Christianity was introduced to Mexico 500 years ago through torture and crime.… Christianity is severely afflicted by superstitions.… Priests do not have any logical words to offer. We can speak to people logically and rationally to attract them.” He cited the priesthood’s corruption as making the public in Europe and the Americas dissatisfied with Christianity, presumably a reference to the scandal of sexual abuse of boys rocking many Roman Catholic dioceses. But Qadiri-Abyaneh treated Roman Catholicism and Protestantism as one and said people were turning away from Christianity as a whole.
