Geert Wilders (photo), the strongly anti-Islam Dutch lawmaker, has announced he will hold a contest of cartoons about the Prophet Mohammad, much like a Danish daily did a decade ago, resulting in riots across the Islamic world. However, after a few weeks of angry criticism and many threats, Wilders has decided to cancel the event. Wilders original plans were given surprisingly little notice in Iran, but they prompted much debate in the Netherlands.
