public for help in locating an Iranian man wanted on several Western-Canada-wide warrants, including for rape.
On May 6, 2009, officers responded to a call from a woman who alleged she had been sexually assaulted by a man who was known to her, several times between March 31, 2009 and May 2, 2009.
Following an investigation, charges have been laid and warrants issued for the arrest of Behzad Sadighiy, 37. He is wanted on one count each of sexual assault, threats to cause death or bodily harm and unlawful confinement.
The police did not explain why the woman waited so long before filing a complaint against Sadighiy.
Sadighiy is described as an Iranian male, 62 inches tall, 230 pounds, brown eyes, black hair, which may be shaved, and a scar on his upper torso.
Police say Sadighiy is dangerous and should not be approached.
