Three young basketball players from Iran are all playing this year at the same Catholic high school outside Los Angeles. Amir Kamgar, Ali Valamanesh and Erfan Samaei all are seniors. They came to the United States in 2012 as sophomores and joined up last year at Don Bosco Technical Institute, an all-male college prep high school in Rosemead, California. Bosco Tech wasn’t noted for its basketball before, but has gotten off to a 7-1 start this season with the three Iranians on board.
