Bombers bomb out

An oil company security patrol stumbled across an effort to bomb an oil pipeline and foiled it Saturday, the government announced.  The report said nothing about whether the bombers were killed, captured or escaped.  The target was the giant Abadan-Mahshahr line that encompasses dozens of separate pipes.  On rare occasions over the years, dissidents have targeted pipelines, mainly in the Arab-populated area around Abadan.
