British police have rescued six Iranians who appear to be illegal aliens abandoned and trapped in a truck that brought them into England. Police received a cellphone call from one of the group who reported they were “trapped” in the back of a truck. They had no idea where they were. The police tracked the telephone signal to a truck parked beside a major highway.
The migrants – four men and two children – were rescued from the back amid a cargo of fruits and vegetables in crates from Spain, with the migrants “tucked in small gaps” between the crates, according to a firefighter at the scene. Police arrested the adult men, aged 19, 23, 24 and 46, on suspicion of entering the UK illegally. They said they were all Iranian nationals.
