Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden went to Orange County, California, recently to attend a big-dollar fundraiser hosted by Iranian-American businessman Massi (Joe) Kiani, who founded Masimo, a medical device company.
About 130 people attended, paying at least $1,000 per head and up to $2,800, which is the maximum an individual can give to one political candidate in any election cycle.
The fundraiser was held January 9 in Kiani’s home in the gated community of Shady Canyon in Irvine.
In a 30-minute speech, Biden said of President Trump, “His America First policy has actually made America last.”
