President Joe Biden has nominated the first Muslim to be a federal judge in US history. He is Zahid Quraishi, of Pakistani ancestry. He will serve on the US District Court for New Jersey, if confirmed by the US Senate. There are 874 federal judgeships under Article III of the Constitution.
