The US Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC, is urging world leaders at the UN to press Iran about its denials of the Holocaust. President Rohani and Foreign Minister Zarif have both dismissed denials of the Holocaust, but the museum noted that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenehi questioned the Holocaust as recently as January and Iran held a Holocaust cartoon contest in May. Tad Stahnke, the director of the museum’s initiative against Holocaust denial, said, “We want to make sure that the upcoming discussion at the United Nations is informed by facts about official Iranian efforts to promote racism and extremism in the form of Holocaust denial.”
