The rial ended the year (and the century) priced at 252,000 to the dollar, according to both the Bonbast and Mesghal websites that monitor trades, and at 240,000, as measured by the Central Bank of Iran. That was a loss in value of about 55 percent over the year.
In the first trading day of the last Persian year, the dollar stood at 160,000 rials according to Bonbast and 156,000 according to the Central Bank. That was a loss over the year 1399 of 57.5 percent by Bonbast and 53.8 percent by the Central Bank.
