The fall in the rate of inflation that we reported last month turned out to be a one-time phenomenon. The inflation rose in the latest report from the Statistical Center of Iran. In Khordad, the third month of the Persian year ending June 21, the rate compared with the same month last year rose 46.9 percent to 47.6 percent but still is avoiding passing the 50 percent mark. Measured as a 12-month average, the rate in Khordad also rose, from 41.0 percent to 43.0 percent.
