Ayatollah dies Iran Times 4 years ago December 25 2020 Ayatollah Mohammad Yazdi (photo) has passed away at the age of 89. Yazdi resigned from the Council of Guardians just weeks before his death. Earlier, he was for 10 years the chairman of the Judicial Branch of the government.
