The Al Jazeera Center for Studies recently took a poll of Arab elites and found that they are bothered by the growing friction with Iran and do not share the anti-Shia frenzy common in the Arab world. The poll found that 90 percent of the elites believe relations are worse than warranted and 69 percent support the creation of a regional security structure that would include both Iran and its Arab neighbors across the Persian Gulf.
