The Foreign Ministry announced Sunday that 73 antiquities dating from the Sassanid Dynasty (224-651 CE) have been returned to Iran by the United States. The announcement did not say how the antiquities had gotten to the United States or how long they had been there. The US authorities have been making an increased effort in recent years to track down stolen antiquities.
