Ahmadi-nejad wants new world order

It should be based on justice and kindness, he says, but otherwise his idea is remarkably lacking in any detail, despite the fact that he has been talking about “a new system” for years.

“We all should do our best to bring about such a system and the efforts and demands of all nations and governments should be directed towards establishing a fair system emanating from the good will of all nations and governments,” the president said at a meeting with ambassadors and representatives from 18 African countries.

Ahmadi-nejad praised the rich culture and outstanding human characteristics of African peoples and hailed their efforts to reach freedom and justice. He said: “African history is full of uprisings, riots, devotion and the endeavor of African people to achieve an appropriate position in the international arena.”

The president said: “The land of Africa is a place where all the hardship and evil doings of colonialism, slaveholding and the capitalist system have been observed. All the evil deeds which can be perpetrated against humanity have been done to Africa.”

The president said colonizers have imposed numerous wars on Africa to plunder the resources of the continent.  He said: “The same situation can be observed in many other places in the world, like in the Caribbean and Latin America. These countries possess rich natural resources, but people in these areas are under the finger of greedy capitalists, who always wage wars and commit killings.”

He said: “We should create a new political system in the world that will ensure security, peace and respect for everyone. God willing, this will be possible because it is a divine action; it will definitely come true if all nations come together to create a new system in the world.”

Shifting to domestic politics, Ahmadi-nejad said the colonial powers have been trying to prevent the advancement of the Iranian people for 200 years and stressed: “There was a period, when Iran’s enemies waged wars and riots in order to prevent  Iran’s  advancement. For the past 33 years, they interfered in our affairs and imposed sanctions and pressure in order to reach their goals.  However, despite all their plots, pressures and imposed restrictions, the  Iranian  people and other nations of the world witness the achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran every day in various economic and scientific arenas.”
