The Foreign Ministry offered its unsolicited advice to Thailand, where anti-government protests have erupted once again in the streets. Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham called on all parties to the conflict to join in a national dialogue to restore tranquility. Although there is no sign that anyone in Thailand paid the least bit of attention to what the Islamic Republic had to say, the Foreign Ministry appears to feel that commenting on problems all around the world proves to the Iranian public that the regime is as important and influential in the world as it claims.
