This used to be the Iranian consulate in Manchester, England. It was built in 1900 and bought by Iran in the 1970s. The Islamic Republic continued to use it after the revolution, but abandoned it in 2005. There appears to have been no effort to sell it.
Over the years, it deteriorated. It was often used by squatters and drug addicts, but it now has no windows and part of the floor has collapsed so it is even ignored by squatters and addicts now.
Arsonists attacked it in 2011, which may have been a response to Tehranis who seized and trashed the UK embassy in Tehran that year.
