Since taking office in August, President Rohani has been busily reversing many of the policies adopted by the Ahmadi-nejad Administration. But there’s one thing Rohani isn’t reversing—the practice of visits to the provinces by the president and cabinet to review issues relevant to an individual province. Ahmadi-nejad made one such visit each month and they proved exceedingly popular with folks who live far from Tehran and feel neglected and forgotten. Rohani isn’t making them on a monthly basis, but his office has announced that the first such provincial foray will be to Khuzestan January 15.
