The head of the Pasdaran in Kurdistan province says he disapproves of his orders to raid homes to seize satellite television dish receivers. Brigadier General Mohammed-Hassan Rajabi told the state news agency, “Having agents enter homes and seize satellite dishes is not an appropriate way to combat this problemÖ. Instead, there must first be a warning, then people should be educated.” He telegraphed that he felt the regime was antagonizing people with the house raids and seizures. “We do not like the seizure operations in this region and we believe that they will not produce results,” he said. “We must act in such a way that the people voluntarily forgo the use of satellite dishes,” Rajabi said.
