“This has been a terrible year for the Imanpour family and we are doing everything we can to find Mr. Imanpour,” said Supt. Claude Wilcott of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Coquitlam, British Columbia, a city near Vancouver.
He said, “Every lead that has come in has been investigated. What we need now is more information from the public to help bring Mr. Imanpour home.”
Imanpour, described by police as a devoted husband, loving father and doting grandfather, went missing September 25, 2011, around 5:15 p.m. after going for a walk. He told his family he would be gone for no longer than 15 minutes.
Despite a thorough search of streets by RCMP and Coquitlam Search and Rescue, the efforts to locate him have yielded no sign of Imanpour, who had just arrived in Canada from Iran to visit his family.
He is described as five feet 11 inches (180 cm), 192 pounds (87 kg), and balding with white hair and a white moustache.
Imanpour was last seen wearing a dark blue baseball hat, black jacket, blue jeans, black runners and glasses. Anyone with information is asked to call RCMP at 604-945-1550.
