The 27-year-old, 7-foot-2 center was reportedly paid $1.3 million last year. The team did not announce any salary for the coming season. The Ahvaz-born Haddadi has never had a major role with the Grizzlies as the backup to star center Marc Gasol, a Spaniard who is the only other foreigner on the team. Haddadi has appeared in only 40 percent of the games since he joined the club and seen an average of only six minutes of play in those games. Of the 14 Grizzlies’ players this past season, two saw less playing time than Haddadi, but those three were below anyone else in playing time.
