Iran is tied with four other countries in qualifying in all but one weight division . The other four are the United States, Russia, Georgia and Egypt.
There are seven weights in freestyle and another seven in Greco-Roman wrestling. Iran qualified in every division except the middle or 74-kilo division of Greco-Roman.
Wrestlers have been competing at a series of elimination matches around the world. The final one was held last weekend in Helsinki.
A country qualifies in a weight division, not the individual wrestler. The country can send any wrestler it chooses once it qualifies at a weight division.
