this year by seizing 213 kilos of methamphetamines from an Iranian ship docked in Dubai. The ship was bound for Malaysia, a major destination for methamphetamines made in Iran. There was no suggestion the Iranian government was involved. In fact, Dubai police said Iran was helping with the investigation. But the constant arrests, mainly in Malaysia and Indonesia, of Iranian mules carrying meth shows that while Iran may have stamped out the production of opium poppies, it has now become a major world center for methamphetamines.
