Mohsen Qamsari, head of international affairs at the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), told the Fars news agency, “The average daily exports of Iran’s oil in the first six months of the current [Persian] year … stood somewhere between 2,420,000 and 2,430,000 barrels a day.”
But over at OPEC headquarters in Vienna, Iran’s governor at OPEC, Mohammad-Ali Khatibi boasted that the cartel has just posted Iran’s exports at 2,583,000 barrels a day so far this year.
