The 20-year-old Pakistani appeared at the Dubai Court of First Instance last week, where he denied kissing the Iranian student and touching him inappropriately.
The alleged incident happened in May when the boy was leaving school. The boy testified: “I couldn’t find a cab and felt thirsty so I went to a building belonging to Dubai Municipality and asked the watchman for some water.
“He gave me some, but then touched me and kissed me. I resisted and managed to escape. I was afraid.”
The boy added: “I went back to the school and managed to get a taxi and then went home and told my mother.”
His mother testified her son came in shaking and terrified. “He asked me to hug him and was crying and then told me what happened,” she said.
A verdict is due next month.
