The Board of Directors in February elected Ali Mojdehi and Forough Hosseini as chairman and vice chairman respectively. Mojdehi and Hosseini succeed Hamid Biglari and Firouz Naderi, who served as the Board’s chair and vice chair since PAAIA was established in 2007.
Mojdehi, who has served on PAAIA’s board since 2007, is a partner at the law firm of Baker & McKenzie LLP and is the past chair of the firm’s Financial Restructuring, Creditors’ Rights and Bankruptcy Practice Group in North America.
The new chairman received his bachelor’s degree in 1978 from the College of William 
and Mary in Virginia, and his JD in 1982, from the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma.
Hosseini has been a PAAIA board member since last April. She is the executive VP of information systems for the residential property building company ICI Homes, which is owned and operated by her husband.
The Iran native earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and an MBA from the University of Central Florida. Hosseini has received the Ellis Island Medal of Honor and was selected as one of Florida’s most Influential Women in Business.
She started the Forough B. Hosseini Family Foundation with the mission of helping local homeless and underprivileged children enrolled in public schools to continue with their education by providing after-school programs. The program also follows the participating students through high school and invites them to apply for scholarships to attend college.
