A member of the City Council of Bomahan, just east of Tehran, was arrested “while accepting a bribe,” the prosecutor of Pardis County announced May 22. Bomahan has a population of about 100,000. The prosecutor didn’t say how much the bribe totaled or what the City Council member had agreed to do for the bribe.
