A video posted on social media is said to show a man grabbing a small girl in Iran just before a bald eagle descends on her back with talons set to pick her up.
The posting says the video was filmed “in Iran,” but gives no city and does not name the girl or her rescuer.
The bird cannot be a bald eagle, since they only exist in North America, but the bird is clearly the size of an eagle and there are a few types of eagles in Iran.
Some commenters think the video is a fake, though it did not look like a fake and is heart-stopping in appearance, with the rescuer grabbing the girl just a second before the bird’s talons would have closed on her back
