According to Dalga Khatinoglu, who covers Iran for Azerbaijan’s Trend News Agency, Oil Ministry documents show that less than 25 percent of Iran’s refined gasoline meets the Euro-4 and Euro-5 emission standards of the European Union and none meets the current Euro6 standards. The Euro-4 standards went out in 2011 and the Euro-5 standards were replaced by Euro-6 in 2015.
