Former President Mohammad Khatami says most Iranians are displeased with the regime’s “costly” hostility to the West. “Today, we are in a situation where, if we don’t say the majority of people are in favor of de-escalation in relations with America, at least we can say that they are dissatisfied with the current foreign policies and the anti-Western stance of the government.”
