Six candidates have been nominated by members of the UN Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) to run in elections for new FAO director general next June. Iran has nominated Mohammad-Saeed Nuri-Naini. He faces candidates from Brazil, Indonesia, Iraq, Spain and Austria.
