The same day an arbitration court ruled against Bahrain in a dispute with Iran, Bahrain announced it had arrested a gang of terrorists linked to the Islamic Republic.
“Weapons and explosives from Iran were seized” along with gang members, it said.
It did not, however, say how many people were arrested and whether any of them were Iranians.
The Islamic Republic has long supported Shia rebel groups in Bahrain.
Bahrain is ruled by a Sunni royal family, but its Muslim population is about 60 percent Shiite, and they have long complained of Sunni bias against them.
