MARKETING – The price of an OPEC barrel has held above $80 a barrel since the first week of October, with slight jumps up and down as reports on oil stocks go up and down. It’s unclear how much of the sold crude comes from Iran as Iran tries mightily to disguise its oil by transferring it at sea from one tanker to another and telling buyers the oil is Iraqi or Malaysian or something else. But that oil is invariably sold at a discount, so Iran is not likely getting anything near $80 or a barrel.
