The Islamic Republic appears to have ended its cross-border attacks against Kurdish forces in Iraq after just a few days. The Iran Times in its last issue reported the start of artillery and drone attacks September 9. But the Kurdish news agency Rudaw has reported no Iranian attacks since September, so the operation does not appear to have been a major one. Iran threatened to send ground troops into Kurdistan, but did not do so.
