The Culture Ministry has unveiled what it calls the largest teahouse painting in the world, measuring 32 meters (105 feet) across. Part of it is seen here. Teahouse paintings embrace some of the stylistic elements of Persian miniatures, but in size they are intended to cover teahouse walls. Deputy Culture Minister Mohammad-Hossain Imani-Khoshkhu said, “This exquisite art shows the potentials of teahouse painting in protecting and demonstrating the culture and social principles of Iran.”
