Mahan Air has put back into the air the only Boeing 747-300 still flying passenger routes anywhere in the world. It will only fly domestic routes as other countries are not licensing it to fly. The 35-year-old plane was parked at Mehrabad Airport for 5-1/2 years after it blew out two of its four engines while taking off from Mehrabad in October 2015. The Financial Tribune said the plane also suffered fuselage damage during that incident.
