There was little change in the rate of inflation last month, as with the previous two months, as the rate appears to be flattening out, albeit still at a stunningly high level. The rate for the Persian month of Azar (ending December 21) as an average over the last 12 months was reported at 40.0 percent, down marginally from 41.1 percent the previous month. Meanwhile, the rate compared with the same month last year stood at 27.8 percent, up marginally from 27.0 percent.
