The Tehran Municipality has suspended construction of an underpass near the Golestan Palace intended to help people gain access to a nearby Metro station. The Cultural Heritage Organization, which runs the palace, complained that the work was being done inside the palace buffer zone. So after three months of work, the construction has been halted to check whether the palace could be undermined.
