United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) has been one of the most vocal organizations supporting sanctions against Iran. Last week, Gary Samore (photo), a former non-proliferation specialist in the Obama Administration, resigned as UANI president and declared his support for the new nuclear deal. Samore was succeeded as UANI president by former Connecticut Sen. Joseph Lieberman.
