The anti-narcotics headquarters says Iran confiscated 553 tons of illicit drugs in the last Persian year, just a tad less than the record haul of 558 tons five years ago. It also said that 350,000 people were arrested for drug crimes. That is almost one-half of 1 percent of the population.
