US Marine Gen. John Kelly, who heads the military’s Southern Command covering the territories south of he United States, says Iran has been recruiting Muslims living in the Caribbean to come to the Middle East and fight against the Islamic State. He said the Islamic State is recruiting there as well. But the reference to Iran’s appeals was a revelation. He listed Venezuela, Suriname, Trinidad and Jamaica as the main countries where Iran and the Islamic State are trolling for recruits.
