Iran Khodro, Iran’s largest carmaker, says it will be able to export, at minimum, 30 percent of its production once sanctions are lifted. “Considering quality and quality, Iran Khodro vehicles are welcomed in foreign markets and can compete with similar products in those target markets,” Iran Khodro’s deputy CEO for exports Elmi said. But Iran never exported anything approaching that volume before sanctions and official Industry Ministry figures show the entire Iranian auto industry has not even exported 1 percent of its production in the first nine months of this year.
